    Re: Fortuner bumbers and winch

You saw my set up in action, it is a Runva winch, got that from Errols tyres. https://www.errolstyres.co.za/towbars/classification/Winch

My front bumper and winch plate is from Bosbumper...
  2. Re: Some more thinking... Some more of your thoughts please.

The Pajero will break your heart , stay away.

You will buy it , love it and then start to pick away at all the things you don't like.

    Then you will sell it,

and then you will regret selling...

Also, the ice plays a role. Your household fridges freeze at around -15. Bottle store ice is usually around -12.

If you find some one who does the flat block ice that is usually -22. This is what...

Re: So I just bought a Jimny

Go on man, treat her and book a course at Bass lake in Meyerton.

He uses Jimny's on the course. I did one and it was epic.

This is typical of the man, he has a habit of shooting himself in the foot. All said and done, I wish him well.
  8. Re: Victron 15 amp Charger and High Cycle Battery

That battery is definitely a high cycle, this is what I use. It is a lead acid and should not really be charged at anything over 14V

Re: Battery isolator vs DC-DC charger

Simply put DC-DC has the ability to take a lower voltage and convert that to a higher one. A solenoid can't do that it simply opens and closes to allow voltage through.

    A solenoid is fine for...

I would rather go with a petrol if you are buying high mileage. Mine and Pajeroman's Gen 2 Pajero's just kept on going with routine servicing and wear and tear parts. Over 400 000 on Pajeroman's

  19. Re: Pajero - Overland and repair - Build log nicknamed Poncho

On that note, if you have the original dashboard cluster with the three gauges, it is quite an easy job to swap out one of those for a water temp guage. The stock one does not do the job well. Even...

Re: Roof Racks - Dynamic and Static Loads

I think we got a little spoilt by older vehicles that could take a bit of weight up top. My old Paj had the roof sill that the roof rack sat on. No way would I be comfortable doing this in the Gen 3.
