    Re: Dead battery?

I usually take my batteries to the place I get new batteries. The last two replacements were with Cooper Power (UPS) and Batteries24 (crank battery).

Defender Re: Hardtop 3 Door 110 Back seats

Hmm, seems like a bit of a controversial subject, from tax, safety to insurance (depending on location).

So I won't comment beyond putting some links you could look at AYOR.

Re: Nuvi - No Maps Available

That's odd. I have a Nuvi52 which I inherited from my sister. I updated all its maps last year August for free just fine (it even says copyright 2021 on startup now).

Try plugging your battery into the controller first, then connect the panels (if you can).

If you can't, cover the panels so they aren't producing current before you plug the controller into the...

    Re: Crime at campsites

If you do ever want to stay near Elands Bay I suggest Vensterklip just outside.

Good spot, inexpensive, and own ablutions which were clean, and the water was hot. Bit close to the road though.

    Re: Crime at campsites

The problem is that crime today (especially petty theft) is so random and so ubiquitous it doesn't really seem fair to lay it at the feet of the camp site without good reason.

    I'll give you an...

Re: Six digit VIN on Defender

Didn't know that, so might be useful if I do ever get to trying to sort it out.

Re: Black Spotlight covers for Namibia?

Thanks, shall enquire before I go, but more likely I will just put the old lights back (which are probably also terrible, but I don't travel at night as a rule, so that is fine).
