    The farm is on holiday for 3 weeks now but the plan is to create a small campsite soon. Will be pretty basic but should be adequate and have all that is needed. No electricity ;D

    Hi all, we have a self catering fully equipped cottage for rent on the farm. It has a queen size bed and a sleep couch for kids.
    Cost is R300 per adult and R150 per child. Minimum stay of 2 nights....

    So..... I may be onto something. A gent in Ohio, USA has a 1913 Cadilllac like mine. He swopped his 1913 Axle for a 1914 2 speed axle so his car has longer legs. Waiting for correspondence from him....

    All the old veteran cars had a brace under the diff.

    I think we have metal fatigue plus an old fix that went wrong. When I got the car the brake rods etc were not correct so sorted it all out and...

    Cutting and inserting a new tube can be done.

    Putting two halves around it is not an option as it will not look correct at all. It has to look authentic at the end of the day - will get it fixed...

    I am not sure of there was previous welding or not. Someone had fiddled on the axle in the past but I am unsure to what extent. If I cannot find a casing somewhere in the world I will have to cut and...

    I have a very nice 1913 Cadillac but the rear axle casing decided to go no more.....double bloody eish !!!!!!

    Not too sure how I am going to repair it yet. Trying to get a casing in the USA or...

    Look what I found :-)

    Any idea what one would pay in this condition? No rust - ex Namibia car. All original. I have testes the 4WD but not the lockers yet. Chenged the timing a bit as it was out....

    Take the service bloke for a drive up an incline with the caravan hitched a and see if you can replicate the sound.

    My van is going for its 75000 service in the morning.
