This works for me in the sticks..... Just shorten the nozzle pipe, half fill with cold water and add some hot water to get the temperature right.

Re: Coulomb meter or 2 x Ah meters

Happy with what you say, but it is the charge side that I also need info on. After 3 days of cloudy weather I do not have a clue what SOC is.... remember voltage stays level... :)

Coulomb meter or 2 x Ah meters

    Evening all!

I recently replaced my camping deep cycle battery with a DIY 120Ah Lifepo4. On the lead acid I could reasonably estimate SOC using voltage, but not so on the LiFePo4...... voltage...

Re: Solar system for off grid camping

Stay away from all AC devices if you can.... most can be found in DC anyway.

    Re: SMA Solar Set up

I can venture an explanation for you.....I have the exact same setup, PV's into a Sunny Boy 5000TL, into a Sunny Island 6.0h with a BYD LiFePo4 battery on the other side.

The Sunny Boy is a "dumb"...

    Re: DIY LifePo4 battery build

As I understand it these are 152Ah CATL cells, pre-used in eg fork lifts etc. Then replaced on a rotation program, refurbished at factory and all tested to still have retained capacity above 120 Ah....
