Re: December Rates for Camp Sites

Normally I's say Forever Resorts Swadini or Loskop, but it's going to be packed over Christmas. The nice thing about Swadini is that you can do a day trip to Kruger (you'll be staying for ten days...

Re: Some pics of my vintage 20M...

I have several old copies of CAR Magazine road tests from the '70's. The Mk3 Cortinas fitted with the 2.5 V6 and four on the floor manual had damn near the same performance as the three-litre...

    Re: X-class: YESS!! Finally!!

But James May still bent the load bed on The Grand Tour while the Ranger and Amarok that took the same hammering suffered no damage.

Re: September 2019 - Mtentu and the Sani Pass

Thanks for sharing, I agree that Mtentu is THE perfect example of a subtropical paradise. Regarding your clutch; please note that low range isn't only for extreme off roading, it eases the strain on...

  15. Re: Looking for recommendations for a good B&B on drive from Cape Town to Clarens

Kuilfontein on the N1 near Colesberg is very nice, quite smart actually. The scenic drive would be the closest one; Gariep, Bethulie, Smithfield, Ladybrand to Clarens but the easiest drive would be...

Re: Richtersveld to Koes December 2019

    Re: Destructive actions in campsite

Tongue in cheek! Dead indigenous trees have their place in nature and what they did here was a tad naughty. Why didn't they drive up to the entrance where there's a bakhuis vol dead gum and pine...

  21. Re: Campsites between Johannesburg Airport and Ais-ais

I wouldn't try to go much further than Kuruman. Red Sands just west of Kuruman is usually a solid bet. Just a word of warning; Kuruman town is a crime hot spot. Avoid stopping in town if you can.

In that case, it's domestic terrorism. The police and army should then take out the poachers, problem (temporarily) solved. If they want to live by violence, let them die by violence.

A bottle of Klippies and a kg of biltong. After 21 years and 386k km's you wouldn't want that as your recreational vehicle, at some stage it will leave you stranded.
