I will start off back in 2010 :)

Baboons Pass, yes it was a huge tick in my list of to-do's. This was done as part of the Land Cruiser Southern Africa club. A bunch of Very Capable 4'bies lined up...

Re: So who is going camping this weekend?

The roaring river will be SWEEEEEEEEET ;D. Even more impressed having a stand close to the weir.

    Re: FJ Cruiser Rock Sliders

Check out wildog, I am very happy with all their kit on the Hilux.

I do not like the Onca one due to it also not providing a step.

    Re: FJ Cruiser Rock Sliders

I had the OEM sliders, very easy to fit, really heavy and strong. They have one huge issue, they offer no step, thus getting in and out without a step was a real pain for the missus and I had to...

Poll: Re: Will you make this climb with your 4x4?

H stands for Highlight, meaning this will be the highlight of the next trip to KP :)

Difficult yes, vehicle selection without doubt, it will not be everybody’s cup of tea.

    Teamwork essential.

Re: So who is going camping this weekend?

Roratau Bushcamp, what appears to be our last :-\. Since we booked the upcoming weekend we again tried for another and were told no more under 12 kids allowed (under 12 IIRC).

    Sad, very sad...
  15. Re: Ga-Ma "trail" on Klein Pella, Northern Cape for the adventurous

Yip and will be a great one, last night in the desert ;D
  16. Re: Ga-Ma "trail" on Klein Pella, Northern Cape for the adventurous

One should consider those who tow trailers and caravans as well on a non-basecamp type of trip, moving campsites.

April is waaaay too far off in the distance ;D
  17. Re: Ga-Ma "trail" on Klein Pella, Northern Cape for the adventurous

I think some wild camping is necessary next time we do the KP trip :)

Looks seriously lekke there in the riverbed.

    They seem to nearly always...

Yeah, but the river is different and also the rock drawling where the FJ is a clear winner

    ;D;D;D

I had to choose and it was always going to be the FJ, no doubt.
