Mkambati Lodge & Gwe Gwe/River Lodge

I would like to find out if anybody has been to Mkambati reserve recently. We were thinking to go there during the end of April 2020. The lodge is available and apparently it has 5 rooms and can...

Re: Enjoying where we are and what we have

So today, after all the good rains we had we decided to visit 2 waterfalls today. The 1st one is somewhere between Nelspruit and Sabie. After that we did the hike to the Forrest Falls between Sabie...

Re: Where to fit second valve stem for TPMS

The Tyre Guard monitor, that screws onto the valve, comes with a lock nut type thing to make it a bit more difficult to be accidentally re-allocated. This is held in place by 3 tiny allen key...

Congratulations. Ford rented me a similar one when mine was in for some repairs and I really enjoyed it.

    Re: New Ranger 4x4 system

On my 2015 XL-PLUS (2.2), I also have TC. In my personal opinion, the TC is only "useful" in 2H and/or 4H while NOT doing serious 4x4'ing. I "played" a bit with it in the rain on the Robbers Pass...

Stem saam. Dit was 'n lekker lees verslag.

  13. Re: Ford Ranger T6 transfer case seal no longer available

I was quoted R6.8k this week at my dealer. Apparently it is not just the seal. The seal comes as part of a flange.

Only read Morne's post now. Possibly what he was referring to.

    Ebutsini 4x4 Trail - Mpumalanga

This trail closed down for a while due to mining activities. However it was reopened recently. We visited the trail with 8 vehicles on 15 December 2019.

This is not a very difficult trail but the...

Welcome on the forum. But be warned, if you spend too much time on the forum and travel some dirt roads, the Tiguan dream might just change to something higher, with bigger wheels, etc. HaHaHa

Re: Your 4x4 being used what its MADE FOR.

In short, most likely not more than a grade 2. When wet it might become very slippery and perhaps outright dangerous.

The photo above is actually from a section of the trail that is closed. We...

We did the Ebutsini 4x4 Trail next to the Songimvelo Nature Reserve. This is on the South African side of the eSwatini border between the Oshoek and Josephsdal border posts.551029

We had a great trip yesterday. We ended up to be 8 vehicles.

This is not a highly technical trail. There are some steep inclines and declines where low range is required. But I would say that the...

"Crawl Mode" when stuck in sand
