    Re: Drawer system in SUV

Pity the on-board compressors have gone so expensive. They are really useful.
I got many quite some time ago when still relatively cheaper, and it saves a LOT of space. And time when you need to use...
  3. Re: Backup power for sleep apnea and oxygen xonverter

Also just saw this other Flexopower unit:

    https://flexopower.co.za/collections/energy-storage/products/ecoflow-delta-1300-power-pack-ups

Don't know it at all though.
  4. Re: Backup power for sleep apnea and oxygen xonverter

    1) We use a Flexopower Lithium444 to drive a CPAP when camping where there is no electricity, and it lasts the whole night with water heater and breathing pipe heater. This is through the CPAP's 12v...

    Re: National Luna shrunk?

Actually you don't need to look for something to put between the body and the lid. The NL clips that you use to lock the lid down are designed that you just swing them up and hook them under the part...

    Re: Pilanesburg? Dinokeng? KNP?

Sheesh, you okes need to expand your hobbies to include birding.
We've had some good days' birding on several occasions when mammals weren't abundant. And we're far off par from the serious birders.

    Re: Which jumpstarter?

Adendorff has some options as well, like this one: https://www.adendorff.co.za/product/mac-afric-portable-lithium-ion-all-in-one-jump-starter-12v-16v-19v/

    Re: Gas fire starters

Guys, guys, this thread is 6 years old.
Johann's fire should be ready now to put the meat on.
    Don't bug him now >:D
  11. Re: Trickle charge via cigarette lighter plug?

Even outside of lockdown, the Fortuner does about 6k clicks a year. It's our holiday/long weekend vehicle. It seems to have an inactive tracking unit somewhere, draining the battery over time. So far...

Re: Would you buy a Fortuner 4.0?

That offset does gets absorbed rather sooner than what you like.
But I like the reliability of the motor.

  14. Re: Centurion power failure or not???

You don't mention in which area you fall.
Wierdapark(14) had rolling blackout 05h00-07h30 this morning, as indicated on EskomSePush.
  15. Re: Camping coffee: share your preferred way

    Aeropress is quite nice.
But when I'm lazy, the oxo works lovely as a pour-over.

  17. Re: Turner Morris GP 2000 iS vs Honda EU 2200i

Thanks for the feedback so far.

Fairly new aircon (in the caravan)... to my knowledged Oradba69 uses an older EU2000i fine on his caravan's aircon.
But yes, could be a bit borderline.
    The price...

    Re: Weber Q gas braai

I use and like braai mats. Haven't used it yet on the Q.
Actually my goal may be different to Andrew's - I just want to get a much lighter grid than the supplied one. Something like this.

    Re: Weber Q gas braai

    Andrew,

For simplicity, I would retain the indents and not bother with adding handles.
Thickness... probably as thin (light) as possible without warping on heat. Not sure what that would be.
    The...
  23. Re: charging or operating a laptop with a modified sine wave inverter?

    I agree with Kobus.

    Do a search on
    laptop car charger
on the internet - there should be multiple products. Confirm that it can handle your laptop's required wattage.

    Re: Weber Q gas braai

The Q1200 uses a gas cannister, which can be handy.
But to use with LPG, you have to get a conversion.

The 1200 is also much less BTU, so hopefully will help with the temperature issue as well as...
