    Re: New Ranger 4x4 system

I would just like to add my 2 cents on the traction control with difflock.

I think many people here underestimate how powerful having both difflock and traction control can be. Especially for...

I came across this post as I have some car alternators lying around and also got my mind wandering.

    Re: Breedsnek pass

I did the pass this weekend,

It was most certainly not difficult. However I would say it is a grade 2 with some grades 3s (if you take the more difficult line).

    Not for sedans, only high...

I am currently looking for a clutch for my Suzuki Jimny,

They have a LUK for R2500.00 and a Sachs for R3200.00 and Asin for R3500.00

I have read both good and bad things for each of them...

Re: 35mm wheel spacer for jimny

    Any updates long term?

I am. Concidering spacers, I worry about the added forced on the front steering mechanism. Also does it not affect steering feel back when one wheel hits a small bump etc?

Re: Runva Winches - Any experience?

All very valid concerns. 30KG would cause problems on a stock Jimny. Luckily I have 100mm lift kit, which actually needs some front weight..

That is allot of force on the chassis, This is why...

    Re: How damaging is corrugation?

Re: Overlanding.. Do you really need a 4x4?

I'm definitely voting for 4x2 with difflock.

If you are not towing, and not loading the car super heavy, 4x2 with difflock and soft tyres will go many (85%) places. Even on sand, It can't stop...

There was 1 coke, so you have a valid point here. I think there could be rattle coming from the baskets. But this particular sound was definitely there in the compressor compartment.
