Ek weet kabeljou hou nie van sterk strome nie. Maar op myl 72 maak dit 'n...

Rod is a graphite 3 piece blue marlin with three tips - easy, medium and heavy surf.

The length of my setup, from swivel to sinker is usually between 40 to 70cm, depending on the depth of the...

    Re: Braided line.

    Thanks guys,

Didn't know braid would be an issue on a multiplier.

Seems this could become an expensive endeavour if I have to consider a proper grinder with braid - I prefer a multiplier reel...

    Re: Braided line.

Thanks for the heads-up about the knot - it was going to be my next question.

With a nylon setup I usually used a 27kg nylon leader with a 18kg leader for the sinker - will this also work with...

With a dingle dangle setup, I use the sputnik type sinkers.

    Yeah, it sounds...

    Braided line.

    Hi Gents,

I have been a keen fisherman for the best part of my life and I have always used nylon line as it is the only thing I know.

I intend to target large kabeljou at the end of December...

    I like those demands.

They are better formulated than what most labour unions can come up with.

  17. Re: Have I become stupidly obsessed with a Land Cruiser 100 1HDFTE

Strangely enough, when it comes to vehicles such as the 105LC or the 3.lt patrol, I have no desire for quick acceleration nor to drive at 130kph.

I have a soft spot for the 4.2 slow donkey too...
