    Re: Jeep Indie Fourways/Bryanston/Randburg

Been doing mine for the last 6 years now at Autoworx in Randburg. JKA used to be in the same building as them so they are really clued up.

    Re: JK 3.8 Alternator

So it turns out the new battery I had put in was also defective. What are the odds!?

They put a new battery in now with another 12month warranty, so will see how this one holds up. Glad it wasn't...

Re: Jeep Trade Thread... all things jeep related

I made my own one a while back that fits only above the driver and passenger seats on my 2 door - looks similar to the eclipse sunshade, but not the full one that extends all the way to the back. You...

    Re: JK 3.8 Alternator

The current battery is only 2 months old. I got it after the previous one started giving the same issues, and I figured that one was on the way out since it was about 2 years old.

    Re: JK 3.8 Alternator

Thanks! The gumtree ad is the same place actually. Unfortunately they don't have anything for the 3.8's, only 3.6's. The guy there says they aren't interchangeable, but I'll do some research on that...

    JK 3.8 Alternator

My alternator seems to be giving me trouble, not charging the battery properly which leaves me stranded every now and then.

Anyone know where I can get one, maybe even a used one? I phoned...

    Help needed

Hi all, I am stuck at the Engen garage in Randpark Ridge with a dead battery in my Jeep. Is anyone perhaps able to assist?

I tried to jump start with a Triton, but the battery seems to want a...
  11. Re: How does JK Rubicon 2 door ride on corrugations & on long road trips?

I bought my coils and shocks 2nd hand from a forum member. The rest of the kit I got from JKA which was basically the brake line extensions, sway bar extensions, and caster washer kit. I would also...
  12. Re: How does JK Rubicon 2 door ride on corrugations & on long road trips?

It depends on what suspension you have in. The stock one is quite hard, but change it to something like the AEV and it's very smooth.

I have a custom 3" suspension with Bilstein shocks and it...

That seems expensive for a 2010 with that amount of km. I paid less for mine with 12,000km on the clock.

I need a front trackbar for my 2010 2dr JK.

Any second hand ones in good condition. I know about the adjustable ones from Zone, but want to see if I can get a stock one first.

    Yes they are still available.

As far as I know the PCD for the stock JK rim is 5 x 127. From what I've read on other forums you need to put on an adapter to fit them, but I might be wrong....

I'm looking for a pair of rear sway bar links for a JK, or perhaps an aftermarket set that is longer than the stock front swaybar links. (I know Zone sells these, but want to try my luck here first)

Jeez my fuel consumption isn't that bad even with a heavy foot. 3" lift with 33" tyres, stubby bumper and a full roofrack and mixed driving for me is 14-15 l/100km.
