    Re: Land Cruiser 300 - 3.3L V6 diesel

    Off original topic, sorry.
Jurgen, 295/70/17 is the limit. It really influences power though, not advisable. It was a failed experiment and within 2 days changed to 285/70/17 which are perfect.

Re: Solar Powering my Pool Pump

Wouldn't you also need at least a 65A controller?

I'm sure the experts will correct me but I wouldn't attempt this constant 750w draw (and weather variability) without at least 500 to 1000A of...

Re: New (to me) Landcruiser 200 advice

    Very interesting trends.
In May/June 2017 when I was hunting for a VX 200, the 2014 models were selling for R750-R790k, the 2015’s selling at about R850k.
Here we are 4 years later and the...

Round trip CT to Cunene through river beds etc, Marienflus, back via Opuwo/Epupa falls towing slightly heavier caravan gave 20L/100km. I’d plan for 17L/100 on the tarmac and 25L/100 towing in thicker...

    Re: 79 Cruiser tow capacity

This doesn't apply to your vehicle I know, but it's worth noting that the standard 2x16mm bolt towball also has SANS code limitations.

    Re: 48mm Tow Balls warning

Wow, that's scary. For the benefit of others who may want to check, here's the actual SANS 1505 requirement for towballs and couplers. These are 3 separate parts to the code, hence the same numbering.
