    The first Choice route I have set out through the Tracks of Africa was the Alternative route to drive Spektakel pass, take the Wolfburg turnoff (about 30kms down the R382) then left onto the R355 etc.

    Yes, have checked the times and distances etc, especially twee Rivier to Nossob and Back, it is an optional that we will decide when in the park and after checking with others the conditions etc....

    Thankfully covered by the insurance.
    Replacement parts are ridiculously expensive.

    Yes we had our seat belts on, which kept us in our seats and resulted in just bruising etc.
    It is an automatic reflex to put the seat belt on and always do.

    I was not flung onto the staring wheel, but wrist is sore and had a bit of neck ache the next day. Wife had arms on dash to prevent going forward etc.

    We were unlucky enough to be in a head on collision with a vehicle on the wrong side of the road on a mountain pass on 31 Dec 2017.

    Eish, got my 99 Prado back at last, but ouch, a few extra bits bumped the rebuild up from R65 000 to R100 000, thankfully the Insurance covered R36 000. Guess I will have to cut down on the steaks....

    The Prado KZ motor has been removed, stripped cleaned and checked.
    It was found the head was cracked and slightly warped from the overheating.
    So going for a full rebuild with John Dirker with a 1...
