Yes, I did read some related articles and even some on American big blocks just spraying water.

Re: Running cooler with more power using WMI

I've received the 0.5 nozzle and upgraded the system.

Upgrade 1: As I had made the tank system too rigid, it developed a leak at the top of the pipe fitting into the lower, larger tank. I noticed...

    Re: Renault Duster

That's good news that a company actually honoured their warranty rather than you having to fight for your rights.

I rotate a smart charger between my vehicles monthly. When one battery dips, even...

    Re: Renault Duster

Our OEM shocks are KYB. So, I wouldn't go there even if Renault just gave them an under spec. 30k to 50k is about normal wear on these.

I also wouldn't go with Ironman for the same quality...

The clicking is often the case when there is insufficient cranking power to hold the starter against the flywheel's ring gear. So, the starter motor spins freely with no resistance, then slides down...

Renault SA under-specs the battery (below OEM's recommendation). I went over-spec when I replaced mine.

    Re: Renault Duster Problems

Our SA OEM (existing) Battery size was 639 – min 60ah 510cca. However, the manual recommends 652 70Ah 510 CCA. I went with the 657 battery 66Ah 650CCA (as CCA is more important than Ah). The 658;...

That's bizarre. I've heard of some really weird things happening when the battery is starting to pack up in our vehicle. This would add to that.

    1 Check that your air pathway is clear (no leaves in the intake spout);

2 Check that the air filter is clean or replaced at service.

3 Remove your MAF and clean it. To me the easiest and safest...

Re: Which diesel is best ?

Correct - Sasol does not sell 10 ppm in Cape Town and have not indicated that they will be doing so in the near future.

I've only purchased 10 ppm Sasol nearer their inland refinery.

    Re: Questionable engine designs

OBDII Parameter / Process (PIDs) 78 and 79 make provision for reading EGT banks 1 and 2 respectively, but I'll take your word for it that most OEMs don't cater for it as mine didn't.
