Re: Hilux 1991 converted to efi problems

Perhaps have a chat with Louis Zannoli at 4x4 Direct, Centurion. He has done many 2200 EFI conversions and should be able to sort you out.

I also have a 2200 EFI conversion and will never consider...
  2. Re: Radio equipment iIdentification required.

If that CF is able to handle your Ham repeater frequencies, it will be the perfect solution and far better than any of the teensy duplexers usually available. Our local Hams also use them.

Had my Venterjie upgraded from 10" wheels to 13" wheels some years ago at one of our local wheel alignment places. Can't recall the cost but it was perfectly reasonable and the trailer has done many...

Hi guys, glad to hear that the Bentons are serving you both so well!

Jaco, the BX-2 would be better suited for use in the trailer, I have forwarded the latest price list to you via email.

Re: The All NEW Bosvark Licence Free Radio

Not only will it damage the batteries, but you stand an excellent chance of setting your car alight. Lithium batteries do not take kindly to being overcharged and can combust. There is protection...

    Re: Crispy Toyota

It was a Firebug, those things we used to catch when we were knee-high to a grasshopper. They built a nest in there and all hatched at the same time with their little glowing tail lights. :)

Paul, here we go - it is designed primarily for charging AGM batteries at 14.7v in cold weather. It is described on page 4 of the attached manual.

  12. Sticky: Re: Benton BX-1(M), BX-2, BX-4, BX-5 Multi-Stage Automatic Battery Chargers

Interesting! The old BX-1 (non-AC revert) was very reliable and very seldom presented any problems. This is the lowest-priced in the Benton range and the only downside is the fact that one has to...

Re: School me on fuses please

I've always regarded those toggle switches as being rated at 2A maximum, can't see why they would ever rate it as 15A.

Re: School me on fuses please

Slightly O/T, but you might find this interesting:

We bought a batch of assorted blade fuses from a seller on Banggood recently, rated at 2A through 20A. So we tested them by connecting them to...

  21. Sticky: Re: Benton BX-1(M), BX-2, BX-4, BX-5 Multi-Stage Automatic Battery Chargers

Yep, in that case you need to make use of the boost mode. Brad's batteries are all fully charged, according to the green indicator so that would not be the problem here.

    Hi Brad,

What battery, one that falls into the BX-2 compatibility chart above? If the charger does not "recognise" the battery, it will not charge, for example some of the 7A Alarm batteries.

Karet trailers are actually excellent, I have been to their factory a few times for purchases of various trailers. I would have no problem in supporting them at any time.
