    I've done Khaudum solo also, but having a sat phone and enough backup to phone, I would do it again. But I will not recommend if you are not familiar with such conditions and dont have some backup.

    Most of them have a bypass screw which you can fine tune the stop-start pressure.

    Just mount that N$420 pump on something that absorbs sound, else you will wake up die whole neighborhood when opening a tap.;D

    As said its deep loose sand tracks on the northern side. I never drove one of those cars, so cant comment whether its capable to handle those conditions or not. But normal 4x4 vehicles do it easily...

    I suppose the winding force must be on the side where its closest to the mounting, to reduce stress on the frame of the winch.

    Yes this year its bad. I reduced stock load to less than 50% and now have to feed the rest. No grazing. For 25 years I manages to be sustainable.

    So yes the pressure is huge all over and numbers...

    You should talk to those lodges having game viewers in the swamp doing day drives thr' the water. From experience they implemented a weekly service schedule, replace grease, and check oils etc.

    Rubbish. There are more elephants that the area can carry. That why they roam so far inland and come in conflict. Last year one young bull was close to Okahandja.

    Other then leakage, temperature influence the temperature a bit, hot to cold, day to night, direct sun etc. It looses some pressure over time anyway but not within 2 weeks normally.
