    Re: Land Cruiser 300 - 3.3L V6 diesel

No, but the Tiguan Allspace does. Let's see who of the prospective LC buyers will jump off the long waiting list to get one of those? ;D

Re: Double Cabs - How Capable is Capable??

I had an Amarok myself, not the V6 though. Mine was at the opposite end of the scale, a 90 kw single cab. I still think it's a great vehicle.
The V6 must be nice to drive and when I look at how...

I had earlier versions in my 60 series Landcruiser until I put in an Old Man Emu suspension. I think those helper springs only start taking a load once the main spring...

Re: Suspension question on Ford Ranger

Look for LoadHog helper springs. Those are spring blades that run over the axle in addition to the normal standard leaf springs.
It's much cheaper than any constant load aftermarket suspension and...

The 1992 McLaren F1 was the first road going Supercar to be built with a monocoque construction. All following McLaren supercars and many competitors have since been built the same way.

    Re: My FJ buying experience

I think the torque is very much the same on the Prado 150 & FJ with the dual VVT-i 1GR-FE.
It's the lighter weight of the FJ that does make a difference, specially when driving in dune sand. The...

Re: Prado 120 - living with and little fixes

Warren, which aftermarket springs have you installed and did you fit shocks, too?
Is that a VX or TX Prado?
Usually, fitting an Old Man Emu suspension with the lowest constant weight rating would...

Re: 3.2 GV, would you buy it?

Compared to a VW Up a V6 petrol SUV would be heavy on fuel. Compared to the 2.4 4 cylinder petrol, the 3.2 V6 isn't much worse. If you drive it nicely, that is. Kick the horses and you'll have to...

    Re: My FJ buying experience

Remember, the Hilux, Fortuner and 70 series got the single VVT-I engine that makes some 176(?) KW. Your FJ got the dual VVT-i 202 KW motor, like the Prado 150, but is a good 300 kg lighter.

Bruce, I wouldn't be worried about the "clunk". When you put the gear selector into P, the gearbox is not under any strain since it is in neutral. It is a locking mechanism on the prop shaft which...
