    So my car has been repaired! Cost me 220 euro for labour out of a total bill of 1350 euro. Can't complain except for the fact that I had to put up a fight first. Gear changes actually feel better now...

    One most important factor. The angle of the UJ at the diff must be the same as the angle of the UJ at the gearbox output shaft and in phase.

    I'd suggest going from Hermanus via the Hemel en Aarde road to Caledon. From there to Greyton, then on the dirt rod to Riviersonderend. Then on to the N2 till Stormsvlei. Then turn off to Bonnievale...
