Re: So who is going camping this weekend?

Maybe said t.i.c. but never trust straight lines with a fish eye lens - nothing is as it seems with the wide setting.

Re: The mighty new Facelifted 2021 Fortuner

And to add insult to injury the South Africans pays an elevated price for the old tech when compared to other countries with the new engine. Disgusting.

Re: Towing with a Hilux V6. Jurgens Exclusive

Sadly a lot of people tow illegally (tow vehicle lighter that what is towed), but hey this is South Africa everything goes.

Why not go for something like a Palma, Splash or Regal. They are less...

    Re: Cape Town Harbour experts?

What is that circled in the picture below?

Gauteng pumps it's waste into the Vaal river, maybe that is Cape Town's solution and they need to prevent some form of erosion in the process....
  8. Re: Pajero given the final nail in the coffin......what a shame

He said "collectors item". Sad to say but I reckon the new Defender 90, and 110 for that matter, is going the D3 and D4 route - nice to have under a plan but it ain't gonna be no collectors item.
  9. Re: Pajero given the final nail in the coffin......what a shame

People buy the Pajero and Defender for totally different reasons.

Most Pajero's are auto and very easy to live with on a daily basis. You get a much better 50/50 (road/off-road) vehicle with a...

Re: Sound install - 2019 Pajero Sport

    Very neat indeed.
  11. Re: Pajero given the final nail in the coffin......what a shame

Sad but true. They have to scale down due to a decrease in profit, partly due to Covid, their sales numbers however were slowly increasing worldwide (1.4 million units in 2019) but that was not...
  12. Re: Is it possible to get side mirror glass cut that is automotive grade?

    Googled it now:

The ECE regulations in use throughout most of the world except North America permit the driver side mirror to have a planar, convex, or aspheric surface; an aspheric section is...
  13. Re: Is it possible to get side mirror glass cut that is automotive grade?

Sorry yes, I meant convex not concave.
  14. Re: Is it possible to get side mirror glass cut that is automotive grade?

It must be slightly convex to allow for a wider angle of view and on the driver's side it has a bit of a blind spot angle to it as well in some cases.

    It is normal.

Rev or rpm matching to smooth gear changes.

There is another thread on the subject.
  19. Re: Pajero given the final nail in the coffin......what a shame

Mitsubishi is doing very well in other countries where there are a 4x4 culture, in Australia for instance it regularly is in the top 3 i terms of sales. If I am not mistaken the PS have outsold the...

Re: Toyota RAV 2.2 AWD - Raad asb.

Heeltemal korrek, die aste self sluit nie maar die krag tussen die aste word eweredig verdeel. Sonder die knoppie in word die krag outomaties versprei tussen voor en agter soos dit benodig word.

Re: Toyota RAV 2.2 AWD - Raad asb.

Die RAV AWD is op teer en ander harde oppervlaktes voorwielaangedrewe. Sodra die voorwiele greep verloor sal van die krag na die agterwiele gestuur word (maksimum van 50%).

    Met die 4x4 lock...

10 year ownership, for most manufacturers, are a walk in the park these days.
