    Re: Terios owners

Looks like the door strap may be missing, the part that limits the opening range and holds the door open when opening it up a hill/against gravity.

Re: Provent 200 oil catch can

Isn't a catch can a pretty basic thing, all it is is something to allow the PCV to vent the crankcase pressure to and catch the oil that is contained in the vapour?

If you didn't care about the...

Re: 2.4 GD6, how many kilos?

That's very impressive figures, actually amazing for a full sized working bakkie.

How many other bakkies can match that economy??

Get a nice sticker and stick it over, maybe even a wildlife park sticker or One life livid type stickers.

Re: Feroza 7AGE 20V SILVERTOP TOYOTA

If you genuinely like the vehicle I'd hold your horses till someone competent with Webers and those engines can take a look at it.

It probably just needs some minor work to be in acceptable...

  11. Re: What manual gearbox oil will help with notchy shifting and hard cold shifting?

Apparently the Honda Mtf is pretty good. But when I replaced the oil my local Honda dealer brought the oil out in old engine oil 1L containers, they said that was because they had to decant from a...
  12. Re: What manual gearbox oil will help with notchy shifting and hard cold shifting?

    What vehicle was that in?

Current oil is OE Honda MTF which was replaced around 6000km ago. Its definitely not the clutch adjustment, I have spent a significant time checking and counter...
  13. What manual gearbox oil will help with notchy shifting and hard cold shifting?

The manual gearbox on my Honda CRV has difficult cold shifts and notchy shifts in general especially into 2nd gear, very difficult to get it into reverse. I was planning on opening the box up and...

Re: Was Lead Crystal a Scam ?

    10yrs is impressive.

AGM would also be lower maintenence due to no distilled water top-ups needed, when not in use just keep them trickle charged and ideally stored in dry cool conditions?

    Any...
  16. Re: How difficult/expensive is it to work on a Opel 1.7D Diesel engine?

Thanks, that seals it I'm not going to touch it. If a diesel mechanic struggles no ways I'll even come close to fixing it. Probably best if they sold it as is.
  17. Re: How difficult/expensive is it to work on a Opel 1.7D Diesel engine?

I also have a recollection of the spares being very expensive on the 1.7D. I suppose it's the typical diesel engine story, when there is very dirty fuel involved the costs can be astronomical.

    But...

  21. How difficult/expensive is it to work on a Opel 1.7D Diesel engine?

A relative has one of the Opel bakkies with the 1.7D Diesel engine, which if I recall correctly uses an Isuzu sourced engine. Apparently it was filled with dirty diesel, lost all power and was making...

Re: Discovery: What have you done with your Discovery today?

Re: Discovery: What have you done with your Discovery today?

I highly doubt 2k will do that to headlight lens plastic, its very hardy and resistant stuff, I have seen a headlight that was polished and then sprayed with 2k clear and it looked factory fresh.

    Re: Is this it?

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but the Defender will have brake by wire brakes.
I get images of doing 140km/h and there's a sensor fault, no brakes or uneven brake forces on each wheel.
