Re: Prado 150: 4.0 Petrol vs 2.8 Diesel

Apparently not in a dragrace. I was still in Low range for the first one , and went to 2H without switching off the TC for the second one. ;D

    Re: Moving from a Tiguan to a Fortuner . . . . .

I do think there is a lot of value in the comparison if you look at how many people are upgrading from softroaders to full size SUV's, it is a natural progression. I went from an X trail to a...

    Re: Moving from a Tiguan to a Fortuner . . . . .

Not that silly of a comparison considering it is based on first hand owner experience.

One thing you did not mention was the overall space for luggage, how do they compare in that regard?

Re: Prado 150: 4.0 Petrol vs 2.8 Diesel

True, but driver proficiency can improve with experience unlocking unused vehicle capability, Ill attempt to prove that next time. >:D

Re: Prado 150: 4.0 Petrol vs 2.8 Diesel

It makes a difference on dunes.

I have also experienced that shape of the torque curve over the rpm range can have a bigger impact than the peak torque number.

Re: Tyre pressure vs fuel economy

Increasing pressure will certainly improve consumption, but going to 2.8 is going to far, you will probably find a sweetspot around 2.2-2.4.
