Re: Mahindra Pik-Up / An owner's honest review

Seeing that Stop-Start systems have been around for more than 40 years it's safe to say that companies like VW, Fiat and Toyota, who pioneered these systems, would have done some research.

Re: Why is the new Triton not more popular?

Problem is that these days the dealer's support is an important part of the product, at least when buying new.

Re: Toyota Hilux vs Nissan NP300

The Nissan NP300 is a lot more old school than the current Hilux. Minimal safety features, no electronic driving aids apart from ABS. The cabin feels smaller. The Hilux got a stronger engine. The...

Re: How much did you pay for Tyres today ?

Look for Roadcruza RA1100. An AT tyre with a tread pattern similar to that of the BFG.
Much softer rubber compound and 2ply sidewall, therefore a very comfortable ride.
Got them on my FJ and am...

Re: 2020 Ford XLT or New 250 Isuzu X Rider

That would make me walk far away from that Ford.
Look for another one, there should be plenty available on the market.

Personally I would go with Isuzu rather than Ford.

    Re: Towing through soft sand.

Your trailer rides on 2 wheels only, not on 4, like your tow vehicle. Loads on a packed camping trailer's wheels are likely to be the same, if not higher than on an average SUV.

    Re: LC 200 dead batteries

Probably if you would use a smart charger, it wouldn't be able to diagnose the two batteries individually and programs like de-sulfatation wouldn't work.

Even an unmodified Prado is quite decent off road.
As for fuel consumption, 7km/l or 14 l/100 km should be easily achievable.
