    Re: Kruger North

What can I say except "WOW" - I've never personally seen the northern part of KNP like that !!!
Always my favorite area though together with a few of the small satellite camps moving southward....

Re: Huge fire on Table Mountain

In my youth, living in George (Southern / Western Cape area) we had one among other forest / mountain fires there.
Our home was on a 2 morgen stand and named "Forest Edge" which should explain.

Re: Klein Pella - Easter 2021

    Great report, thank you.

Although I have never been into the heavier off-road trail thing, it is always very interesting (and comfortable if my own vehicle and life is not directly involved >:D)....

If very high and entering from the top of the pipe maybe ok????
Mine are just extensions upwards not connected into any other pipe....

    Re: Camping inverters

Paul, yes, afaik, however I never have and have never had a problem.
There is a fuse between the 12V battery supply and the inverter though.

Thanks Gavin. I was starting to think that it was inadvertently forgotten and left there since I am usually the one taking it down.

    Re: Breather on diffs

The old Suuz has extended breathers on diff and gearbox - just extended pipe lengths - never had a problem with this.
    Simple & effective.:)
  9. Re: Monitoring battery state of discharge / charge

It is now in process of conversion to a house based - non portable, small backup system - so no more alternator charging unless I were to run the vehicle motor and manually connect which I think...
  10. Monitoring battery state of discharge / charge

So now again I am going to ask what are probably a couple of stupid questions.
Maybe this will help other elektrickery ignoramuses such as myself in the process.

  11. Re: Pajero LWB spare Diesel tank - repair it or take it off?

    Is it stainless steel ?
Is it a single leak or along a seem or weld line?
Personally, if still needing longer range, the I would have it fixed.
Depends on the sort of trips you are planning in...

    Re: Deep cycle battery advice

    Thanks for that.
However due to trees etc. I need to move it around at least three times during daylight to remain in full sun, so ja.
    But an excellent idea.

The Howling Moon RTT weighs about 75 Kg standard - that is the 1.4 wide version.
I guess the 1.2 m may be a little less.
