    I still rate the Touareg as the best vehicle I ever owned, by a country mile!

    Enjoy it!

    Re: Snake ID please.

    I am not a snake expert at all.
    The snake handler identified it as a Boomslang.
    I think he would know.

    I know the Spotted Bush snake well, and this was not one.

    Re: Snake ID please.

    Yes, it is.

    The snake handler says they are quite common in the East London area.

    The only snake I will kill is a Puff Adder.

    Snake ID please.

    The staffie led me to this one.

    It does not move, but I gueas the diameter is more than 40mm, so it must be a big one.

    I don't have the tools to handle it.

    Re: Molteno?

    Surely you mean Gariep, Burgersdorp, R391 to R56 intersection, Moltero (left) or Sterynsburg (right).

    You could go Gariep, Venterstad, Steynsburg, Molteno.

    If you are destined for the R56...

    Re: It tows like a dream

    What Mullerza said.

    My Touareg V10 made towing a "dream".
    Only if you have experienced such a "tow monster" will you understand "tows like a dream".
  14. Re: Navara D40 Radio replacement with rearview camera?

    If it is Android Auto compatible, you can run (amongst others)

    * Waze
    * Google Maps
    * OsmAnd (which is very good, btw)
    * Spotify
    * WhatsApp (it even plays your messages as voice messages, Afr...
  15. Re: Navara D40 Radio replacement with rearview camera?

    It does (harness is included), although I did not need it, due to the age of the Pajero, which does not have steering wheel control.
  16. Re: Navara D40 Radio replacement with rearview camera?

    I opted for the Sony XAV-AX5550D

    A bit more expensive than the Pioneer, but I am very impressed.

    No SD card, but 2 USB ports.

    Re: Cheap 2nd hand run around suggestions?

    If you are going to maintain & service it yourself, the price and availability of spares are important.

    If you are going to have it serviced by an indie, ask him for service estimates.

    I would...

    Re: Those who said, electric vehicle, NEVER!

    There will come a day when we can't / don't want to burn as much fossil fuels.
    On that day the EV won't have to compete with the ICE any more.
    Desperate times dictate desperate measures.

    Re: Is it possible to

    You can beef up the suspension and fit larger tyres, but the body will fall apart.
    They don't even survive gravel roads.

    Is it still turning (can it be turned)?

    I saw a review of the Audi EVs, which share basics with the Porsche Tacan.
    If I had the money, I would put down my money to have one ASAP.
