Re: The mighty new 2021 Fortuner

Toyota should give the top of the range tuna at least a sunroof, JBL surround audio and Android auto/apple carplay. You know it's these little fun add-ons that make a car loveable and easier to live...

    Re: Land Cruiser 300 - 3.3L V6 diesel

Unless Toyota gets new leadership... They have not been in the habit of stressing their motors. I just dont see them squeezing more than 200kw/650Nm from a 3.3l displacement

No single country at the moment in which the LC200 is sold with the 2.8 diesel.

So why is it being pitted against wrangler and old defender? Let it be against D5, D4, Prado, fortuner, etc [emoji1745]

The more I see these videos the more I get confused. It seems this defender is not all its hyped to be. Most videos show it seriously struggling in extreme off road environment.. [emoji1745]

Ah yes. Taller people will sit knee high that's true. But I think most kids will be fine back there. Let's say 5ft and below.

    Re: Huge land rover dilemma

Spacewise, I prefer the LC200 for a larger family in daily use. the space behind the 3rd in the 200 is like 3 times that of the D4.

D4 XS in my opinion was a very good proposition, but they failed when they grossly underspecced it, nail in coffin being the silly ground clearance.

I would get a Fortuner, and preferably the D4D.

The gen1 facelift, I think your budget can get you a good used 4wd auto version with reasonable mileage.

You may also want to consider gen1...

Just grab or rent an LC70 series or Patrol Y61 if your needs are super hard core.

New defender is purposed similar to Discovery. No hardcore stuff.

So being na´ve on this whole farming thing, educate me on what actual value and advantage a grenadier will add to the European farmer which a Hilux or L200 (or for that matter a basic Prado) can't.

    The question is.. how many.
Or paraphrasing, what portion of your average 4x4 buyer would this be.
