  1. Re: 97 Cruiser GX 80 Diesel vs 98 Nissan Patrol GL 4500

If they are as unmolested as they look , then I would be happy to do a blind pick, as I think those are the two best SUVs that were ever made.

I am sorry to say but neither the Americans nor the...

    Keep the thing!

You know it inside out, they dont make them like that anymore!

A newer car will only disappoint you.

Re: What's it worth? Toyota Prado vx kzj95 2001

When you say reconditioned, was the head replaced? If so, what brand? Did it overheat? Whether you keep or sell, at that mileage the Aisin viscous fan will probably need a refill or a replace. Post...
  4. Re: Triton owners input on the twin brother (Fiat Fullback)

    Yes, this is the one!

Unless there was a huge difference in price, I would go for the real thing...

    Cheers
  5. Re: Triton owners input on the twin brother (Fiat Fullback)

    No!

Read first the thread someone started the other day, they are 2 very different beasts in terms of build quality etc.

Can't remember for the life of me the title or the poster but he was...

    Re: South Luangwa Boating Emerald

I also dont know of any operation that run boat safaris.

Shame because with the amount of water that's in the park in January, it would lend itself to being explored by small boat!

    Good news for rhino conservation

    https://www.getaway.co.za/travel-news/seventeen-black-rhinos-arrive-in-malawi/

    This is great news .

African Parks are doing a great job of rehabilitating our parks ,after years of neglect.

Re: toyota 1 kzte over heating

If you are getting the EGT monitor fitted yourself, maybe check some of the you tube videos?

  12. Re: FCA to Merge with PSA after Renault declines

Peugeot used to make a great 1.9 diesel engine and very good gear boxes.

I feel they have little to gain from merging with FCA. Although that's the way things are moving, large conglomerates.

Kasungu is lovely, it's close to Luangwa so animals were able to move in between the two areas years back.

The lodge you mention could be Lifupa:

    Re: EURO6 prado 150 (2.8) and 5-ppm diesel?

The new L200/Triton also looks the same as those. Maybe they all subcontracted the design from the same company.

Re: Landcruiser 79 update in 2020?

That would be interesting. A quick search shows that diesel/electric hybrids are quite rare for now, most hybrids are petrol.

If you need to replace, I would look for an AMC head.

Make sure the job is done properly. But I would try and maintain the cooling system first before worrying about replacing the head.
