    Re: Addo elephant park

Thank you, Baviaanskloof was definably on the to do list, but wasn't aware of Mountain Zebra NP.

As our time is very limited, I want to try use it wisely.

    Addo elephant park

Due to work commitments and lack of time our planned 4 week Namibia trip has been cancelled. As we only now have 2 weeks, we thought of maybe going to Addo elephant park.

    We are camping and...

    Re: Troopy back

I for one just can't justify the price for what you get. I do like the basic concept, but how can they then charge what they do.

I suppose the real answer lies in the fact that they are probably...

    Re: Troopy back

My prayers were answered, or so I thought.

The price is eye watering (even compared to a 4.2 1Hz in the S/C 79)
Due to the back seats (that I think most would take out) you can't claim your vat...

According to what I found it is on private property, thus one needs to request permission from the landowner first.

Re: Tankwa Karoo and Old Postal Route

    Sorry only saw this now

I did 3 crossings, remember I was 1 person in one vehicle, so did not take any chances. From W to E the first crossing was about 400mm the rest 2 - 3 inches deep.

Re: Tankwa Karoo and Old Postal Route

I did this route for the first time last week, from west to east.

In my view low range or even 4x4 is not needed, although as said here before if you towing may come very handy once or twice.
