Re: Stephan does his magic again

I'd be very wary of owning the audi if it wasn't for Stephan, I dont even want to know what the dealership would have charged for this job.

Driving swambo's Tiguan for the week again made me start...

    Re: Torque wrench

if you wrench often get a proper torque wrench but if its just to tighten wheel nuts then a cheapie will do just fine. You are not worried about torqueing to 105 instead of 100nm, you are worried...
  5. Re: Ford very finnicky over petrol - 2nd engine replacement imminent.

Correct, over fueling cools a petrol engine down. Remember a diesel engine by nature runs very lean, so adding more fuel creates a bigger bang and more power and more heat because the oxygen to burn...

    Re: Tiguan Allspace TSI Highline

First service done. Nothing much to report other than picking up a couple of parking lot door dings - helluva frustrating how people just dont give a crap.

  7. Re: Ford very finnicky over petrol - 2nd engine replacement imminent.

advancement in fuel economy in modern engines are mainly from their ability to run leaner. Running an engine lean uses less fuel, but counter intuitively also can produce more power but with the risk...

Re: VW Tiguan 1.4 TSI overheating

very strange, have the coolant tested for exhaust gas just in case you have head gasket issue (I doubt it, but its a cheap test)

so they f up traffic for a publicity stunt?! Clearly I’m not in marketing as this seems like an own goal. Sure I noticed them but it certainly did nothing to improve my view of the brand.
