    Seems like the lada holds a bit of sentimental value.
    I would spend the +R100k it WILL cost in the end on an attempted conversion on a more reliable 4x4 and keep the lada safe and unmolested.

    My only input here is my colleague has an NP200 1.6 petrol. Its consumption is absolutely shocking, so, if consumption is your main thing id steer clear of this one.

    4x 265/75/16 bfg AT KO2, and 1x wrangler tyres for sale.
    bfgs have ~9mm tread left. Apparently brand new ones have 12mm, so lots of life left on these.
