Re: New to the Jeep brand, 2.8 CRD LTD

The 2.8 is a VM Motori engine. The 2.5 and 3.1 were spawn of the devil. The 2.8 slightly better as it at least has a solid head. My advice: Cooling system. Make sure all is working well, beef up the...

Okay, I was able to log onto Goodyear portal. They make 2 Wrangler Adventures in that size and then the MTR. ALL three are LT spec.

Tried to.log onto the Goodyear portal now but it is down for maintenance. Another distributor ONLY has LT spec in that size, but in two different speed ratings (same load index)

    Maybe I can get...

Kevlar is NOT in the sidewalls. The Wrangler Adventure in USA says Kevlar reinforced sidewall. Locally it says Kevlar reinforced layer.

Yes I would prefer the petrol (although that clutch is also some moola)...hehe. When I asked about the high revving, was actually referring to their petrol motors.

    Educate me on Xtrails please.

So I've been looking for a Softroader or SUV for a while. Prices on stuff like clutches have kept me a little catfoot for Xtrails. However one of my customers wants to sell his diesel 4x4. Price is a...

Hi-Fli is an impressive looking tyre, but that's where it ends. Go for the Yokie. I've had endless balancing problems on some of the Dunlops, and R150 per tyre extra for a Yokie is a no brainer

Was it the Wrangler Adventures? or ATSA? Remember the Adventure has the Kevlar layer so might help if it is "through the tread" of the tyre.

Re: Delamination - compensation from supplier ?

How old is the tyre? If it's older than 5 years, no tyre manufacturer will honour a claim. If younger than that, I reckon you have a chance of getting at least a pro rata reimbursement.

Personally. If you need a 3 ply sidewall go with BFG. The Dunlop AT3G is very close to the same price, but I'm sure the BFG will be easier to get should you need to replace one.
