    Dual battery cable from load bin to cab

    I have been running a small fridge on the backseat while overlanding with a battery on the floor behind my drivers seat, it works great but I want to install the battery in the load bin permanently....

    Then I am pretty sure it's the limit the aluminium roof rails can handle, you should ask ford if they are removed and a roof rack bolted to the fittings what is then the limit the roof can handle......

    Hi Johan, seems the only really viable option right now, but I really like the finish with the bin liner :) so not willing to give up looking for a solution just yet

    All ideas welcome, but my concern here is the load on the slider can be rather high and the bin liner won't have the strength to withstand the pressure... it would simply pull your securing bolts...

    I can't claim to know all the theory but I can tell you from my experience that earth through the chassis is no good for anything, it's never a clean connection and you just looking for trouble...

    Agreed, won't even consider it on inverter, this is purely for the lazy holidays next to the beach and in comfy camps, for the big overland trips I will leave it out the van.

    Had a fantastic 2 weeks through Namibia and Kgalagadi. BushLapa was great and served us well. Cant wait for the next trip now!
