    Honestly, not really. Even guys in 4x4's get stuck.
    So even with experience chances are slim, sand is deep and slippery.

    Also at sossusvlei you will have to stop at the 2x4 parking.

    Very true. Every year there are talks etc of new concession area's opening up but hardly ever happens. From what I see is actually the opposite, they are becoming stricter and closing off more areas.
