So, I guess waiting in excess of 6 months for a custom built set from him is parr for the course?
He does allot of work for the racing guys, servicing and set-ups and new sets. Everytime a major race comes up on the calender you can for get any movement :-\
I will call again and mention this thread and see if it can help me get my set-up finished!

So, it's now been 8 months waiting for my shocks from Ted, although they are designed from scratch and with very tight length specs making use of remote canisters to get what I need. But still, I have had every excuse in the book!
AND THEN HE GIVES MY SHOCKS TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!
If you own a P38 and live in Nelspruit and got yourself a nice set of custom Bilsteins from Ted .......... I hope your ABS modulator breaks. >:(

Any alternative suggestions for:
10" travel shock with a 13" compressed spec
and a
8" travel shock with a 12" compressed spec?

Anyone thinking of fitting Bilstein shocks to their vehicle take note:
After battling for many months to get the set I had paid for, I was eventually helped and had the set fitted ..... but,
the front shocks failed completely (seals leaking) over a year ago, at the time they had been in the vehicle for 3 months - I am still waiting for the replacement units from Afrishox some 13 months later. I have sent countless emails to Ted as well as responsible persons at Thyssen Krupp (Bilstein manufacturers) to no avail.
All I have had is empty promises....... :confused:
I am now forced to take legal action to get resolution.

Doesn't the guys at Mikem supply them as well? As far as I know Mikem offer great service.

Can anyone help me with a name and/or phone number of someone in Port Elizabeth or East London that can assist me with sorting out a Bilstein shock on my VW T5 Transporter? It is leaking and I was told that they have a lifetime warranty on them and they can be serviced and repaired. Hopefully there is someone in the Eastern cape as I live in Port Alfred!
