So we are back from another great wekend at Mapungubwe.
We left Friday moring at 08:00 in the rain from Ellisras and arrived 13:00 at the campsite after a breakfast in Alldays and Check in at main gate.
After breakfast Satuarday Morning we had a game drive in the western side of the park. We did not drive in the eastern side as I prefer the western side and wanted to do the Mopani Loop 4x4 route.
Our sightings included a lof of plains game, Elephants and 4 Cheetah's. We followed them stalking and hunting - 1st a Impala ram and then later some warthog with no success. But amazing sighting indeed!!!
Heard hyena during the night and have seen their tracks around.
Maloutswa Bird Hide has a lot of water and not very active at this moment as there are a lot of small water puddles in the park and in the limpopo river due to the rain.
This was our 5th visit to the park and again a very good reason why we love going to this park.
Campsite was quite empty and very relaxed to enjoy the bush fully.
