Hi All,
We did a 21 days tour over December in Namibia, did over 7500km - trip report attached with more pictures,
In a nutshell:
Traveled through Botswana as it was the shortest route -
Visited Windhoek before we headed for Etosha,
There after camped in Palmwag, Epuwo, Epupa Falls
And did Van Zyl's Pass, camped in Puros and again Palwag
Also had a few days in the Skeleton Coast at Torra bay before we spend some time in Swakop and Sussusvlei
WIth our last stop in Luderitz to visit the diamond ghost town.
Roads in Namibia is fairly good, or should I rather say the roads that good.... are really very good but there was some sections or routes we took which the roads was bad and very slow. This changed our pre-planned trip as all our camp sites was pre-booked which we found out was not really needed as Namibia (North) was not fully booked and there was more than enough space just to pitch up.
We took over 2000 photo's so the few in the report are really but a few, I will also attach a few but its impossible to capture the experience in a few pictures. Namibia is just awesome and we enjoyed every part of the trip. Every warned us it will be to hot.... the kids will get bored as we did most days 7 hours of driving and had to set up camp almost every day....
All of us agreed this was the best trip & holiday we have being on, every day was a new experience.... everything we shared made the trip so special. O yes, the fact that there was no Wi-Fi and reception was just a huge bonus.
Namibia is a must for your bucket list, but do your homework... its the most beautiful but also extreme unforgiving.
We are going back to Namibia, not sure when or where to.... till the next trip
