Default Defender td5 Service

Iím attempting my first solo major service soon and even bought a Haynes Workshop manual.
I have a few questions or rather concerns which I hope the experts could help me with.
This is on my to-do list:
  • Engine oil change (Maganatec 10W40 with a new sump plug copper washer)
  • Oil filter
  • Rotor oil filter
  • Diesel Filter
  • Grease diff and universal joint nipples
  • Gearbox oil change
  • Transfer case oil change
  • Diff oil change
  • Replace air filter
Other than checking the brakes, fuel lines, water pipes, aux belt and oil at ECU and loom Ö..What am I missing?
What oil should I use for the gearbox, transfer case and diffs irrespectively?
Is this the only way to get oil into the transfer case?

Transfer case you may manage with the 500ml bottles that have the pull-out spouts. It's the gearbox that's a bugger to get at IIRC.

I've been looking for a pump like that for a very long time, after repeatedly skinning my knuckles topping up the gearbox. This online shop has them (at a price) but I'm sure we are all creative enough to make our own All it takes is a trip to Plastics from Africa, something like this and a length of fish tank hose. Heck, I'll even settle for one of these (or a horse syringe) and a length of pipe...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ima...86168&s=garden

i use ones similar to these extensively.
about R140 each and carries up to 5 litres.
remove the nozzle and use the pipe only.
they are normally indexed so adding the correct amount is fairly easy.
fill to the mark and then insert the pipe into the gearbox etc.
pump up and leave till empty.
found it a great time saving device.
place one each at diffs, gearbox and transfer case and fill all simultaneously.
