Default IronMan Suspension Upgrade for Fortuner

I did last week an Ironman Suspension upgrade on my 2011 Fortuner.

I put in the front the longer and harder coils as I still want to fit bash plate and winch. In the back the performance coils. All shock absorbers are gas.

Did this weekend a lot of bad bad gravel road and the bad Brits - Thabazimbi road.

I must say the road handeling and stability of the Fortuner is a improvement that I cannot described.

I paid R8800 for the kit and fitment with wheel alignment.

I must take the Fortuner back tomorrow for the re-measurements after it did 500km. I did a bit more.
I will post the before and after then. I will also post a few more pics.

Ok the measurements before the fitment was as follow:
The measurement is taken from the bottom of the rim to the top of the wheel arch.
Front - 710mm
Back - 755mm

After the fitment:

Front - 785mm
Back - 800mm

After 500km
Front - 785mm
Back - 800mm

So if you want more detail or info. Feel free to ask.

Looks good, and the price doesn't seem too bad either. Where did you have the kit fitted Rudolf?

Hi Russmann,
Well priced and the most people i spoke with said it is the same as OME but cheaper. I also see that there after sale service is very good.
everything on my Fortuner is IronMan, (Offroad bumper, snorkel, suspension)
I do a lot of bad bad gravel road. Before i did the suspension the back always tend to come out. Since i did the suspension i must look at my speed. What a big big difference. You are more than welcome to come and have a look at mine. I stay just off Hendrik Potgieter.

Jaco, kan jy nogsteeds die Ironman op die Fortuner teen daardie prys gee?

IronMan did get some bad press a while ago, but we've fitted a few and their pricing is good.

Rudolph, does the installation have any implications on your warranty with Toyota? Or do they approve it?

I went to Autoquip Alberton and met Jaco - he is very honest and transparent about all the suspension options. The conversion on his Hilux looks great. I am really thinking about it. I tow an off raod trailer and need to improve the driving experience.
