Has anyone fitted a 2nd battery in the engine bay? Would you mind sharing a photo please?

I'd love to see the actual mounting bracket for one of those

Are you referring to the 3L or 2.8 TDI? Motor in the pictures is not a 2.8

The first image is for a 3L

It does look very similar in the 2.8 though. I checked last night, and I'm going to go to someone that make me a platform + bracket to fit in there. From what I can tell the aircon pipes and a little unknown pump are in the way. If you lift it over the pipes though there is enough space for a bracket. If you look at the picture you'll see it's also a bit higher than the other battery.

I have fitted a 70Ah in the 2.8 engine bay - it is however in the same direction as the crank battery and not sideways.

I have built a rectangular platform from flat aluminium, fitted that to the fender and then a piece of marine ply on top with a battery clamp across.

Sofar it works fine and is quite sturdy.

The little pump thingy I think is for the difflock, if I am correct. I took the bracket off and just put it the other way around, i.e. it is now facing the intercooler / engine.

I know Kenny has a 2nd battery fitted in his d/cab. With the diesel the primer pump is in the way. Luckily there is a lot more real esate availbel in the Pajero. Will be building my 2nd battery mount this week-end
