Default Diesel Cetane Levels???

Hi Guys,

I remember a post a while back that made reference to different oil companies diesel cetane levels.

On the new common rail diesel Hilux's, they require a diesel that has a cetane level of 50 or more........

As I recall, this post did exactly that.... identify diferent fuel suppliers and what brand of diesle they sold, and what the cetane level is.

For the life of me, I can't find that post. Can anybody point me in the right direction, or re-post that information?

4ePajero, if I recall, you had a major imput into this discussion.

HELP

Not me! That is much to academic for a dof ou like me!

3. I'm sure any of the local brands will comply, otherwise it would have become an issue long ago.

4. I find that Engen/Excel (the same product) gives the best performance and economy, BP/Shell the worst. Caltex and Sasol/Total is good too.

Eish,

Thanks 4e.... I really thought you were involved with that lot...

It made for interesting reading, and if I can support my new vehicle with the best juice, then I'd like to do just that.

Will start a new thread with pics on my new ride
