Hummer sold to China

General Motors has reached an agreement to offload Hummer onto China's Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery, with Tengzhong taking an 80 percent stake and a private investor consuming the rest. Total cost? Only $150 million!

Hummer going to Asia? I was under the impression they only make very narrow vehicles like Chana GWE or whatever. Maby looking at the Hummer will show them how to make wider ones.

Seriously the parent company (GM?) probably did not have any other choice given their situation. IIRC Paul Horrell on Topgear.com speculated that the same will happen to Chrysler and the Jeep brand.

Personally Id rather have Land Rover owned by Tata than some Chinese
