Default Mahindra 2.6 GLX TD Fuel injector problems

Mahindra 2.6 GLX TD Fuel injector problems.

My Mahindra begin to start recently very difficult in the morning, lot of smoke, then after a whiles driving smoke disapear.
Mahindra dealer found one fuel injector nozzel been wear out which causes the problem. Recommend to replace all four nozzels to prevent similar incident.
No parts(nozzel) available in SA from Bosch. Will take 6 weeks, may be, to get imported. Complete injector R3000 a piece.
Anyone with advice. Part no DSLY 150 P1093

Hi Frans,

Welcome to the forum. How many km's on the nozzels? Is this the CRD or older TDI engine? You can have the nozzels ultrasonicaly cleaned and then tested again. I would rather take them to a Bosch diesel specialist.

Ultrasound and the correct solvent will clean them, but if it's worn out, then toss it.

Hi Frans

That is bad news! How many km does your Mahindra have on the clock? I would like to know as I plan to replace mine on 120000km

Shucks! The injectors are expenive! Still cheaper than Toyota... Last time I heard the D4D's injectors goes for around R4500 a pop!

If you can get hold of the nozzles seperately it will be much cheaper, probably around R500 each.

It is the older TDI engin, 2007 model with 120 000 km on the clock. Injectors were tested, one nozzel definitly wear out.
