Go Mags Namibia?

Anyone seen Go Magazine's annual Namibia issue.

I think it was published in March last year. Have been watching my corner bookstore but nothing as yet!

I did enjoy last year's - a good publication and very useful.

They were printed a week ago and the books are currently being distributed.

Found a copy today. Another excellent edition packed with information including ample GPS co-ordinates and contact details.

I particularly liked the section on border crossing for novices which is always a concern for first time tourists. First impression is that the magazine has covered a wider area than previously including lesser known tourist spots and this is cleverly tied to features on Gomag's web site.

Rather than using the Road Route system (B6/B8/C15 etc) as a basis for the guide, this year 112 people were asked to recommend their favourite places in Namibia. This is a useful focus particularly after the 2011 edition. Photographs are excellent - highlighting the diversity of the country.

It is again well supported by advertisers including a double page spread from Joe's! Total paging (adverts and editorial) at 130 is slightly down from the 146 pages last year but it is still packed with great tips.

Walter wherever they sell Drive Out/ Go Mag magazine in Windhoek.
Not sure if they have arrived in Namibia as yet??. Bought mine today in SA.

Nice pic - who took it? How did Gomag contact the people interviewed?

I think I will bypass Mamili when visiting Caprivi - sounds a bit too wet.

I just downloaded it to my iPad and on first impressions it looks great. Lots of places to consider for my upcoming Namibian trip in September.

Mamili pics - I took, pic of me a friend of mine took when we were sitting at Dune 7 bar in Feb this year.

Its a stunning park / area and a place that you must vist, however - go prepared and go with at least 2 vehicles. There is a new lodge inside the park now too.
