Bartho, or any other "stuck" sage, in post #2763, how does one prevent or minimise the possibility of that happening.

The only way you will never get stuck is to never venture off tar. If you go offroad expect to get stuck at some point in your life. There is no shame to it and It happens to everybody at some point. But running suitable tyres and tyre pressures and carefully checking terrain goes a while towards not getting stuck.

Stuck you will get stuck at sometime. 99% of my stuckies(own) was because i lost concentration on where i was going . The one i 2763 was because i was leading the way through dunes in a part where we did not drive before. Was driving slowly and got into seriously soft sand and when i saw that power would only sink me further into the pooh , stopped and let a friend recover me back. With a little more momentum ( and blushing cheeks &#128516 i drove through the soft patch and continued the trip. Luckily for me another bmw recovered me !

He drives a touareg v10. What you on about?

He puts foot, and the earth moves away under the car to make him unstuck.
