Default Maxxis Bravo MT-753 MT vs BFG AT's

    Hi

I am looking at upgrading my Jimny's tyres in the (hopefully) not too distant future, to size 215/75R15.

The most popular choice seems to be the BFG AT, which I really like, but I saw a Jimny a while ago with Maxxis Bravo MT-753 MT's.

These tyres, although having "MT" in the number are not as agressive as other MT tyres, which makes me think that they might be a AT/MT tyre, rather than a full blown MT... It is a really nice looking tyre.

Has anybody had experience with both? Most important - how noisy are the Maxxis compared to the BFG's?

There is a tread comparing Maxxis Bighorn to BFG mud, but I think my question is a bit off topic for that thread.

The Bravo also has a 3ply sidewall, the Buckshot and Big Horn both only 2ply.
Definitely more AT. Lugs are also closer so should be quiet.

Bighorns also come in three ply. Mine are.

Aha, that must be why some dealers charge less for similar BHorns.

Maxxis don't have stock of these tyres in my size at the moment, and the price difference is not much less than BFG, so why buy a tyre that will be difficuilt to replace if the need ever arises? Besides, with all the great reviews on the BFG AT's in the forum it would be stupid not to choose them.

    My decision is BFG then.
