If I can make it, count me in for the heavy stuff....I don't drive more than 100km to a trail if there aren't any proper obstacles

This trail is the unofficial home of the Amatola 4X4 Club so it can go from Mild to Wild. There are some sections where Peter will only let people with winches go!!!

The key is to get the right mix.

    Ralph

What are the chances Mitsubishi can get a Pajero sport out there on the day?

It will get very good exposure, pics and detailed reviews here on the forum by those who are lucky enough to have a drive/ride in it.

Ryan from Mitsubishi Motors East London has already taken the Sport on a trip to Brakkeduine to put it through its paces so I am pretty confident he will bring the Sport along for the training and trails.

Would like to join you guys for the day and trail, but being silly season enoll I cannot yet commit. Will have to play it by ear, so include me on the 'maybe' list for now.

I don't think the outlander will make it ( best to ask ralph ) but you are welcome to come along and be a passenger and see what it is about. Ralph mentioned there will be a Paj sport so you might even get a go in that.

    Ralph,

I saw the thread and spoke to Peter of De Kraal about the outing. Firstly, Peter is not aware of your plans, so I sugguest that you contact him urgently. The AORC is also hving their club meeting at De Kraal on the afternoon of the 5 th December 2009.

Also, please note that the chalets are limited and bookings are essential. Interested parties should contact Peter on 083 773 7752 for bookings.

    Hope to see you there.

    Kind regards

    Jean

I have spoken to Peter ( and discussed the training and gtg etc ) and booked the chalet this week and have also filled in the booking form with Ralph for the training.

He mentioned that he has not heard of finalised, or confirmed plans, from Ralph and that he would sort it out and have Ralph post confirmation on the forum.

I will phone both tomorrow and get confirmation and post here.

Those obstacles look very extreme to me. Is that the advanced routes?

It might be a bit early in the morning for me still, but I'm confused if this is a joke or not
