Default GVM on car papers is 0

Guys, any idea on how to solve this problem ?

Our car papers and our license disk show the tare weight at 2300kg but the GVM as 0.

Is driving the car with this on the disk legal or not ?

How do we solve this to work out if we are overloaded or not?

I did ask on a different thread and was able to get payload (sort of) but if the GVM = 0 what do I do ?

Go back to the license department and ask them how they legally issued a valid vehicle license disk with a 0kg GVM.

    technically it is impossible

Only way I can think of is to go for a roadworthy and then let them make the adjustments on the new papers.

I once bought a pre owned bike, papers up to date, licence disk all good. On checking, the engine number read 1.

You can imagine what the guys at the testing centre said.

Lusted for a Landy but the Pajero was sexier and bigger in the right departments, just like my Missus.

OK, so it looks like a visit to license department and then to roadworthy. Great
