In the Trailers, Caravan, Towing etc section click on the new thread button left top next to classifieds.

Then once in the post/reply screen you'll see a little square portrait on the right side of the middle taskbar just above the window you type the text in. Click on the little portrait and select from computer, choose file and then click upload... whalla

Great thread Pieter, I really like diy threads like this.

Stupid question, seeing you "sika'ed", what is the best, unpainted steel sika'ed or can you stick painted surfaces together? I am planning on building a flatbed trailer, rust is my concern.

Staalwol if you adhere on painted surfaces you are adhering 2 layers of paint together.

Sikaflex has no acid therefore does not promote rust like most silicon.

Also apply enough to ensure the adhesive peaks out and pushes the air out on a properly cleaned bare metal surface.

    "dom" people don't ask questions.
Clean the bare surfaces well with sandpaper and wipe with thinners. The only way of getting sika unstuck, is by cutting it.

Cutouts for wheel arches done and dusted.
Also bought a grinding disc for stainless this morning.
Compared, the normal steel disc, feels like grinding glass.
