Thanks Rod, I am aware of problems with my slowdonkey website. The company managing the website suddenly closed down over the holidays without notification. I am in the process of organizing a replacement. Luckily I posted the blog in the form of PDFs on this forum here

Thumbs up Re: Report - Dec 17 trip to CKGR and Damaraland

Thanks again Rod and Pam. I read all installments in one go ! Much appreciated. I think you're very brave doing those parts of Botswana alone.
Well done folks. Where's your next trip taking you ? Once again, Pam's photos are great.

Thoroughly enjoyed this, as all your previous reports. Thank you both.

Indeed, I have been in the Nyae Nyae on multiple occasions, and only once ever had the pans with water in them, you have to be there in the rainy season to get them flooded.

Many thanks Rod and Pam for yet another great trip report. Appreciated.

Thank you Tony. I realise now that we have been lucky indeed to find water in the pans twice in three visits.

Thank you WW. Our American trip is still coming, and we had booked to ship our vehicle during February. The intention was, and hopefully still is, to start off in the US in the spring, and follow the sun all the way down, reaching Ushaia in Jan or Feb 2019. The complication is that, during the trip we are reporting on now, we faced up to the fact that what everyone has been telling us is true: An RTT rig is not suitable for the trip. We got back home on 6 January and on 11 Jan we placed an order for a camper conversion for our Hilux. We are now sitting around waiting to get it back from the gearbox people, after which we will give it the camper people, after which ..........

Hence we have time to work on our report.
    Hmmm.....sal moet wag en kyk

Rod, why are you "hiding" this beautiful trip Report in the General overland section and do not put it under Namibia and/or Botswana? Almost missed it!

Thanks for the many beautilful photos of scenery, wildlife, camps, birdies and flowers!

And all the best for your travels in the Americas
