I know Kemtek in Jhb also sells printers and they also run a print bureau. Www.kemtek.co.za, i think their division is called rapid 3d or something like that.

    I finally bought a 3D printer.

I went for the Anet A6, Paid $249 ~R3300 , There's lots of support out there for them. It's easily up-gradable by printing better parts directly from thingverse, and to fix if something goes wrong.

I also have a half built printer, I tried to build my own but ran into some problems with the assembly. So I can use the Anet to print some parts!

The Anet is still in the US i'm only getting it at the end of Feb :-(

I use the 3d printer at work to print housings for our electronic products as we have many customers with different places where the units need to fit. It is way cheaper than doing a mould and injection moulding. But that being said, when we do higher volumes (5000+) then the injection moulding works out cheaper again.

The Formbot T-Rex 2+ is one I discovered recently. At the top of my list at the moment along with the Prusa i3 mk3 with the multi-material extruder.

The Formbot has independent dual extruders and a massive build volume.
