Garmin Nuvi 2595LT Map Cannot Unlock

    Question Garmin Nuvi 2595LT Map Cannot Unlock

    I bought a new region map for my Nuvi 2595LT, downloaded it from the mygarmin site with the IE plugin (after the Garmin Express app kept telling me it cannot reach the servers, even though it did update the Nuvi's own software successfully). However, now when I start the Nuvi, it gives an error message "Cannot unlock maps" and the new map does not then show as a map in my installed maps under settings (the T4A and other maps I had still works perfectly, it is only the new one which does not show. I can though see and navigate the new map from Basecamp when I connect the Nuvi)

    Any idea where I could contact Garmin or any support to try to sort this out, please. I have re-installed the map several times as per their support forum messages, but now I am stuck?

    Did you plug your Garmin into your computer when you did the installation.

    Yes,hunter26, did that. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get hold of an y contact info for Garmin to ask about this - have emailed their American support (nothing available for South Africa), but have not had any response.

    Navworld does support for Garmin, you can try and contact one of their branches: http://navworld.co.za/find-us/

    Else try telephonically the Garmin headoffice in Jhb, I usually get help when i phone: +27112519999.

    NavWorld no longer are Service Agents for Garmin Africa.

    Effect 1st January 2018, all Product Support Services will be facilitated by Garmin Southern Africa.
